FreedoM
Friday 17th March Artbay Gallery hosts a free public show called “Making FreedoM”.
A Queenstown troupe known as Pick Up Sticks performs some weighty magic as they transform a massive steel and concrete sculpture into a completely new artistic concept titled FreedoM.
Everyone attending the event is free to be involved in the performance. Audience participation is invited as its a big ask creating FreedoM from a bunch of old sticks. Nearly 150 heavy steel bars are moved around and numerous new artefacts are introduced into the system.
During the week FreedoM is on display many take up the offer to interfere with the system. Phil Whitaker bending enthusiastically.
